The Saudi market finally made a move.
After weeks of uncertainty, TASI jumped 2.58% last week to close at 11,237, marking its strongest weekly gain since the third week of January 2026.
More importantly, the index has now moved above 11,000, a level that had been acting as a key barrier for some time.
That changes the short-term picture.
But there is an important catch.
TASI gained for seven consecutive sessions before finally pausing on the last trading day.
That is a strong run in a short period.
So while momentum is clearly positive, the market may not continue moving higher in a straight line.
A short pause or pullback would be completely normal at this stage.
The next hurdle is:
🔹 11,300–11,400 → Immediate resistance
This zone is important because it lines up with the upper boundary of the falling channel.
If TASI can break through this area with strength, the next move could become even more interesting.
But for now, traders should focus on what happens around this resistance.
On the downside:
🔹 11,000–11,100 → Immediate support
The important change is that 11,000, which was previously resistance, can now start acting as support.
If the index pulls back toward this area and buyers defend it, that could provide a healthier setup for the next move higher.
This may not be the best time to chase the rally after such a strong weekly move.
Instead, watch for a pullback.
If TASI comes back toward 11,000–11,100 and holds, it could offer a more attractive entry opportunity.
In simple terms:
11,000 was the barrier.
Now it needs to become the floor.
11,300–11,400 is the next test.
The trend has improved, but the smarter approach may be to wait for the market to come to you rather than chase it.
